Though I desperately want to believe in true love, the American Dream and that the Rescue Package will fix our economy, I can’t say that I am buying the Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens love-fest.  At first I fell for the swirling romance of two fresh-face Disney stars singing and frolicking on the beach, but is it for real?  Or is this just the Disney publicity machine? Or is this a calculated Hollywood move to cover up a dark secret - like Zac is actually gay?  Hmmm.  I asked my 14 year old cousin about this and was shocked that she didn’t go for the homoZac-ual theory.  “OMG, no way,” she said, “Zac, like didn’t even know how to dance before he got the HSM movie.”   So that’s how it goes - natural dancing ability is a requirement for being gay.

Zac EFron is set to lose his mouse ears and become a man by taking on the role that made Kevin Bacon famous — Ren McCormack in FOOTLOOSE!  Best yet, the man that connects Hollywood, Kevin Bacon, has given his blessing - “I think it’s a great idea. He’s a great choice. He’s very talented.”

Bigger than a super starz Bar Mitzvah, Zac Efron, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens and the rest of the High School Musical cast walked the red carpet to the big screen Hollywood Premiere of the 3rd installment of the Disney Mega Hit.

Creepy!! A middle-aged deranged fan rushed Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens as they were leaving a London theater shouting at them as he tried to grab Zac’s hair (it is beautiful - I wouldn’t mind a lock myself - I’d keep it my treasure box that I made at the Painted Pot). The man would’t let go of Zac as they rolled around on the floor before a bodyguard stepped in. Some bodyguard? Where was he when the guy started running towards them waving his arms and laptop? Didn’t that look a wee bit suspicious? Too bad Nikki Blonsky wasn’t there to stomp some sense into this crazy.

Oh Zac, that’s not true - you got all the right moves - just ask Vanessa or even Disney because at this point your bigger than Mickey Mouse.

Zac opens up about Vanessa and growing up in an interview in The Sun

“We are just very comfortable together as friends, as actors. We are used to it now. We have done quite a bit. It is not like being with a brand new person. We have grown to a certain level of comfort in these past movies over the years. Now it comes very naturally acting together.”

I don’t know if I’ll be able to wait until October 24 for High School Musical 3 - Senior Year to open on the BIG screen. Zac Efron is said to be working on some fancy footwork that will surely rival any Hart to Hart Bar Mitzvah dancer’s moves.
