Baruch Atah The Beatles - all that praying finally paid off - well kind of since it’s only Paul McCartney.  The Beatle Great is playing his first gig in the Holy Land at tonight’s Friendship First gig, celebrating Israel’s 60th anniversary. Israel banned The Beatles at the height of Beatlemania in 1965 for fear that Israeli teens would corrupt the morals of Israeli youth (cause they were only hands on all those Kibbutz.  But this year its ambassador to Britain apologised for the “misunderstanding”.

Yet Muslim fanatics just can’t Let It Be - exiled preacher Omar Bakri raged: “If he values his life, Mr McCartney must not come to Israel.”  Hopefully, the concert will be just about the music and won’t be marred by crazies.
